Sarah Saltiel speaks to an audience of middle school-age students in Marseilles, Illinois about the issue of youth depression and suicidal thoughts. Her focus was the tragic loss of Dylan Wagner six months earlier, when he was 15. Sarah stressed the importance of reaching out for help during times of sadness and hopelessness - that seeking help is a sign of strength, not a weakness. Following her comments, Sarah was joined by two other MWAH! troupe members, Shealeigh Voitl and Alex Oechsel, in singing the Rascal Flatts country ballad 'Why.'

My name: Sarah Saltiel

Where I was born: Indianapolis, Indiana

My home town: Willowbrook, Illinois

My school / year: Hinsdale Central High School / 2013

My favorite subject in school and why: English because I’m a great writer and I love to write essays and different types of papers on any topic.

My favorite food: Spaghetti

My favorite TV show: Whose Line is it Anyway?

My favorite actress / actor: Robin Williams

My favorite musical artist or group: Rascal Flatts

My hobbies: I love to sing, dance, act and play my guitar, piano, and viola. I love to pick up new instruments and play them for hours!

My personal hero or heroes and why: My father because he saves lives every day and he cares and supports me and my dreams.

My best friend and why: Emily is my best friend because we have so much in common. But one thing that really keeps us together is our imagination. We’ll get the same ideas and we both have big dreams, but we always want to keep in touch no matter what happens in the future.

What you’d probably find in my iPod: Country, Rock, and Classical. Anything you can think of, it’s on my iPod.

What you’d probably find under my bed: Clothes and books.

Most of my time on the computer is spent: Doing homework and talking with my friends on Facebook.

In my free time I: Sing, play my instruments, play volleyball, and hang out with friends.

My most humbling experience: When I sang for a War Memorial. I realized how much soldiers sacrificed for our freedom.

The best advice I ever got: Say "I love you" to the ones you love today. Because tomorrow they could be gone.

The best day I’ve had so far: When I made my first commercial.

The worst day I’ve had so far: When I broke my arm and the teachers were yelling at me because my handwriting was too sloppy.

What makes me laugh: Memories and old photographs.

What makes me mad: When people tell me to move on.

My proudest moment so far: When I saved my best friend’s life.

One thing I simply can’t stand: When people complain how bad their life is when they have a great life.

One thing I’d like to change about myself: My loud mouth.

Fifteen years from now I want to: Be singing on a big stage somewhere, or working with Marine life at Sea World.

The reason I want to is: I love to sing and I want to share my voice with the world and I love animals. It would be so much fun to work with animals every day!

The three words that best describe me: Music, loving, friend
