As of August 11, 2010:

My name : Rachel Plasch

My age/sign : 16 in September 2011 / Virgo

Where I was born : Aurora, IL

My home town : Yorkville, IL

My school / year in school : Yorkville High School
11th (Junior) during 2011-2012 school year.

My favorite subject in school and why : Madrigals and Wind Ensemble! I love having two classes where I’m surrounded by such an amazing groups of people.
The classes put me in a better mood toward the middle of the day and let me express myself through music. :)

My favorite food : Sushi and black olives.

My favorite TV show : ‘Glee’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

My favorite actors / actresses : Anne Hathaway / Steve Carell :)

My favorite musical artists : Adele, Jesus Culture, Lady Gaga, Sara Bareilles, Closure in Moscow, Beyonce, John Mayer, and Bruno Mars!

My hobbies : I love to paint and dance with my friends. My goal is to glide flawlessly.

What you’d probably find under my bed : When I was younger I just threw everything under my bed. Now I make sure there’s nothing under there because I never want to clean it out again!

Most of my time on the computer is spent : On Facebook and YouTube keeping up with everybody.

In my free time I : Most of the time it’s spent practicing my music, walking around my subdivision without shoes on, getting yelled at for not wearing shoes, and hanging out with my family and friends.

The best advice I ever got : Just always be yourself and push for your goals no matter how impossible they seem.

The best day I ever had so far : Too many good days, but going to the Sky Deck in Chicago and seeing Manatees in Florida are at the top of the list!

The worst days or nights I’ve had so far : : The night I spent at the hospital with Dallas Larson and his family and friends before he passed away
and the night before a final exam when I learned that my parents were getting divorced.

What makes me laugh: People who aren't afraid to be loud and obnoxious anywhere they go. :)

What makes me mad : When my allergies get bad and I have to sneeze every 5 minutes.

My proudest moment so far: Singing ‘I Want Jesus to Walk with Me’ at a varsity choir competition and almost bursting into tears along with half the choir. The song wasn’t one of our best at first, but the way our director explained it as we were singing was so touching and powerful. It made such a difference in the sound and it turned out to be absolutely beautiful!

One thing I simply can’t stand: High School Drama.

One thing I’d like to change about myself : To learn not to be so self-conscious and
to know that I don’t have to be perfect or to change for anyone, whether they like it or not.

Fifteen years from now I want to : I thought I had an idea, but it’s always changing, so only time will tell. But I definitely want music always to be a big part of my life.

The reason I want to is: Through music I get the opportunity to perform, do what I love, and meet so many talented people that inspire me to continue striving to become a better musician.

The three words (actually four) that best describe me: Random, hyper, and fun! :)
