Following her comments during the Churchville performance about a car crash in July 2009 that killed her best friend’s older sister, Chelsea Toot, Lexi dedicates a special song to Chelsea, whose photo is shown on the right. MWAH! artist Whitney McDermott (left) joined Lexi in singing background harmonies.

The MWAH! website video page (showcase->video) features Lexi singing the song ’Hurt’ on May 10, 2010 at Galena Middle School in Galena, Illinois, for an event involving six middle schools that was sponsored by the Jo Daviess County Juvenile Justice Council. The song was in memory of Lexi’s friend, Chelsea Toot, who died in a texting-while-driving crash. You can get there from the Video page (see #35)

As of April 24, 2010:

My name: Alexandra ('Lexi') Parr

My age/sign: 15 / Pisces

Where I was born: Dubuque, Iowa

My home town: Galena, Illinois

My school / year in school: 9th grade at River Ridge High School in Hanover, Illinois

My favorite subject in school and why: Band and choir because I get to do what I love!!

My favorite food: Anything smothered in hot sauce

My favorite TV show: Glee

My favorite musical artist or group: The Beatles, Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Jennifer Hudson

My hobbies: I love to act on stage and I'm always singing for various charities and events.

My personal hero or heroes and why: My cousin Patrick. He had a disability, muscular dystrophy, which caused him to die at the age of 21.

My best friends and why: My cousin Megan McDonald. We grew up together and can tell each other anything without feeling judged or ridiculed. Oh and we have fun.

What you’d probably find in my CD player or iPod: Hundreds of different songs from musicals and a little bit of rock music.

What you’d probably find under my bed: Years and years of dirty clothes from when I "picked up" my room.

Most of my time on the computer is spent: On YouTube looking for new songs that I think I can sing well.

In my free time I: I practice for MWAH! and for the play I'm in.

My most humbling experience: When my good friend, Chelsea Toot, died in a car crash. Her younger sister is actually one of my best friends, so it almost feels like Chelsea had been my sister.

The best advice I ever got: Never look back. No matter what happens, keep on going. Eventually you'll get what you worked for and deserved.

The best day I ever had so far: I've had a lot of good days and bad days, but I can't tell which one has been the best.

The worst day I ever had so far: When I went to a funeral for one of my Dad's friends. I didn't even know his name, but when the bagpipes began playing, I started to cry.

What makes me laugh: Everything! My friends say my one true problem is that I can't stop smiling.

What makes me mad: Boys I know it sounds so High School, but it's totally true. My family can be really stressful as well, but I guess it's that way for most families.

My proudest moment so far: Whenever I get an A on a test or land the role I wanted. I then feel really proud of myself.

One thing I simply can’t stand: Liars. I don't think you should always tell the truth, but I think the truth still is better than a lie.

One thing I’d like to change about myself: God wanted me the way I am. So I wouldn't change anything.

Fifteen years from now I want to: Be performing for millions of people, or as a career, I would like to be a plastic surgeon.

The reason I want to is: My mother has a severe burn scar on her shoulder that she received as a child, making it hard for her to buy shirts and dresses. One day I want to be able to fix it for her.

The three words that best describe me: Bubbly, likeable, and musical.
